I have a quick happiness to report to all, I am under £7000, which is a nice milestone to have got to. I shall have a celebratory sherry or some such this evening... I even went for a run this morning too, in all this wind!Debt at Lightbulb Moment #4 (December 2010)

Congratulations on breaking the 7k barrier! How's the eBaying going? I was wating with baited breath for a free listing weekend but no sign of one for this weekend - I guess they realised we all got too complacent about there being one a month for a while...!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hi, the Ebaying started off quite well, made about £40 in January which can't be bad. Was a bit depressed though when a coat I bought for £30 sold for £4.Debt at Lightbulb Moment #4 (December 2010)

Oh yes, small confession to add. I paid for some ironing this week which goes against a lot of my new money saving principles, but I was snowed under and I found a company who do a half price introductory offer, so I paid a tenner for about 2 weeks worth of clothes. I'm working on the basis that that tenner bought me a few hours to spend with my wife and baby son, so on that basis, it was money very well spent.Debt at Lightbulb Moment #4 (December 2010)

Hi All
I've just popped online to do a load of financial stuff today including tinkering with my phone and broadband package for a better deal and cancelling PPI on a credit card which was stopping me paying it off, and thought I'd have a look at my signature and update it from where I was. I was astounded to see that I've cleared over £2000 of debt in 4 months!! Admittedly I've just paid £1000 off a card with money from a car we sold (have 2, one never went anywhere so off it went) which was a big chunk but looking at those numbers made me feel so much better.
I also have a new mantra, even if it's only a penny, I'm going to try and go to bed every day in less debt than I was. Every day I will log on somewhere and pay off a bit of something.
Today is a good day...Debt at Lightbulb Moment #4 (December 2010)

Hi All
Just a quick update, if you check the signature you will notice I am now under £6000, which is such a good milestone to have hit, feels great! My next one is to try and get both major credit cards under the £2000 mark each. I've also applied for a new card to try and shift as much as I can to a 0% balance, so we'll see how that goes.
Thanks a lot for all the comments and help, it really does make a difference and smiles every time I log on.
