Brother Run up Charges on BT Land Line??

Hi there

I cant seem to find the answer to this question, my brother has staying with me as he has him self in alot of trouble and while i was away for a few days he has called a number that costs 75p a min to try and win money on off a tv gambling line I pressume. He did not have my permission to do this. Is there any way I can reclaim this £100+ He has no money doesnt work right now and hasnt signed on. he is a mental mess so telling him to sort things out is out of the question:eek:
Any ideas ?

    Doubtful you can try to claim anything back tbh
  • view the situation as if you've done a weeks shopping from asda ...gone away for a couple of a days and your brother has eaten the lot.
    do you ask asda for some kind of refund?
    or
    realise your only recourse is from your brother?

    With respect who do you expect to refund the money? Its a matter for you to sort out with your brother,and if you cant, your have to take it on the chin i am afraid.

    Make sure you get BT to bar premium calls, so it cant happen again.

    nice brother! this happened to me. you have no chance. sorry
  • You can ask BT to block the use of 09 numbers from your phone for the future.
  • What you need to do is:
    - check the number on ICSTIS' web site (http://www.icstis.org.uk) or give them a call on 0800 500 212 and get the details of the service provider responsible;
    - give them a call or drop them a note explaining the situation and ask, politely, if they'd consider offering a refund.

    You might well find a sympathetic ear.
