I transfered some money online from my Alliance and Leicester account to my HSBC how long will it take?

    Faster payment? .......... within 2 hours
    CHAPS ? .......... same day
    BACS? ........... 3 to 4 days.
    If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !

    And that's working days, so if you made the request today it'll be next Tuesday (and possibly even Wednesday).

    If it was your first payment to this beneficiary, then forget FP (even if it's below their (£250-300) threshold)...it'll go by BACS.

    I've paid into this account before but ages ago, it was still on my list though. Great, I needed that money to buy some presents :@

    I checked and both of them are part of faster payments. When I have done HSBC to A&L it's been instant :S . A & L are such a piece of shi.. can't wait to close my account.
