Hi,
Just wanted a bit of advice as there seems to be alot of experienced people here. I've always paid money weekly towards my daughter i also buy ALL her clothes, take her to all doctors/dentist appointments hairdressers everything that she needs i do for her. Her mother has always been more concerned with going out and spending the money i give her for my daughter. I drive the 50 miles to collect my daughter on friday and again on a sunday to drop her off. The cost f which we've always just managed to do. But now with the cost of petrol so high, we're struggling to find the money each week for this and to top it all off the CSA has sent me a letter to say that my payments are now going to almost double. I cannot afford to pay anymore, my partner and i have 2 children together and cannot work anymore hours than we do. If i had the money i would pay it, i wouldn't see my daughter without anything, but i know she doesn't benefit at all from my payments, she lives off cheesy pasta and noodles, the only clothes ive ever seen her in are the ones my partner gets for her. I just don't know what to do, if i am made to pay this extra money we will end up losing our home. I dont know what to do. Any advice is greatly apprieciated. Please dont lynch me i'm a good dad and i want to pay i just can't see where i will get the money from. My partner has suggested we get rid of our internet and phone. But that seems so unfair my family have already gone without so much just to pay the petrol, csa court costs for access. I've sold all i can on Ebay. And i dont want to reduce my time with my daughter down to every other weekend just to pay the CSA I'm rambling now. sorry my mind just can't seem to concentrate. I just want to know what are the chances of me getting this reduced
Thanks in advance for any advice0 -
All you can do is check to see if your assessment is correct - do they have your correct income details? Have they included your children on the assessment? If your child stays over with you for at least 1 night per week, has that been taken into account? If yes to all the above, then there isn't much you can do. There is no point in dwelling on what your money gets spent on - if you feel your child is being neglected then report your ex and try to get a residency order for her to live with you, but if you have no evidence etc then you will be on a hiding to nothing.0
