    Hi all,

I have just declared myself bankrupt and was wondering if anyone knows how long your records are retained by experian/equifax when looking for credit after the 12 months of bankruptcy have expired?

    Thanks

Your BR stays on the credit files for six years from the date of the actual BR, they then automatically fall off them.

So I've now been bankrupt for six months. I guess it's gone by pretty quickly. Only another six months to go. (After the changes to the IPA rules, I'm not hoping for ED any more.)

Since my initial interview with the OR and my dealings with Moonbeever I've not heard a thing. Is that normal? Should I expect to hear anything? Is it possible I'll never hear anything again, and just sail into AD?

I knew I was in the for the full 12 months but the only time I had contact with the OR was to buy our LI`s back and the BI of the car, in the next 10 months I heard nothing.

  • I went BR on 17th Nov, and apart from my OR interview have heard nothing since. I assume that the OR office only make contact as, and when, they need to.
How long before Moonbeaver make contact regarding NT?

Five months in and the only contact since the interview has been two letters informing me they have no interest in my car or my pension. I'd gladly forego any prospect of ED and sit out the next seven months if it means no worrying looking letters to open.
