DRO: Debt in my order been sold on?!?

I was accepted on my DRO on the 26th November. One of the debts included on my order was for Santander £650. It seems that while the application was being submitted that they sold the debt to company called RED.

They are no getting very heavy with demand letters, mentioning ccjs and have recently sent round a man to personally "remind" me of this debt.

They said they cannot accept my DRO order as Santander no longer own it and they do. They said I need to get my DRO ammended to say there name and not Santanders.

Any help/suggestions would be fantastic....

Contact your OR and tell them; pass on Red's details. Then don't worry about it and if anyone should darken your doorstep again tell them of Ogg off.

Hi,

This situation happens quite often. Just do as Skylight says, The IS will place the debt against whoever owned it on the day of the order, so in your case they will remove the debt from Santander and apply it to RED who then will be bound by the terms of the order.

That happened to me but a few months into my DRO. I am now chasing 2 companies to amend their details on my credit report.
