Ebay end times wrong

We put 3 items on ebay on Tuesday night at around 7.30 pm. We intended them to end at around 6.30pm (GMT) Sunday (having allowed for the clocks changing)

Having looked at the items today I have noticed the end times are totally wrong. Ebay have them ending at 4.30 - 4.45pm.

I am definate on what time I listed the items and I know ebay are wrong. Is there anything I can do? I have emailed them (this morning) but of course there has as yet been no reply

ooohh eck i never gave the clock thing change a thought when i listed:eek:
  • I don't know if eBay can are would be bothered to correct it, but it might sort itself out, as occasionally happens with unexplained glitches. If not, it could be worse, they could have finished at 4:30-4:45pm on a weekday!

It turns out 2 out of the 3 items ended with quite high bids so all was not lost but it's principle of the thing.

Anyway, ebay have finally come back to us and guess what? Their response was neither use nor ornament.

This is part of their response:

"I have checked our records and found that you have successfully sold the
items 2******, 2****** and 2******. Since you have
mentioned that you wanted to revise the duration of your listings, I
will be happy to explain to you how you can revise a listing."

So ebay haven't read our problem, we didn't ask how revise an item, besides you can't change an end time without ending the auction early. We wanted them to be aware of a problem they had.

The auctions were placed on ebay within seconds of each other and planned to finish at 6.30. Ebay changed the end times to between 4.15 and 4.45.

Like I said it's the principle.
Ah rant over feel better now!

As a followup to my original post.

We put another 3 items on ebay and wanted them to finish around 4.30 on sunday (5th November). All uploaded fine, times correct etc.
The next day after listing the times had changed drastically.

1 was finishing Sunday at 12.22, the other 2 were finishing at 15.20 and 15.23.

We contacted "live help" who had no idea what was wrong. They contacted "technical" who asked how we managed to get three listings uploaded so quickly and asked if we had used turbolister. The reply was no. They didn't know what was wrong either.

In the end the only thing we could have done was end the auctions and relist. All auctions at this point had bids on so it wouldn't have looked very good on us to cancel - plus it would have made a 3 day auction not 5. Needless to say Ebay really didn't care.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

So, last night we put 2 auctions on using turbo lister. The end times are still correct this morning.:j

I also listed another item through a different account but didn't use turbo lister. This listing has had it's time changed to finish at 11.51am Sunday and not 20.45 that I intended. I am so annoyed:mad::mad:

So is anyone else having their end times changed by ebay or is this "glitch" unique to me and not using turbo lister?

I probably upload an average of 25+ items a week and touch wood, don't seem to have ever had a problem with my end times changing.

    Soo,
Do you use turbo lister or selling manager to list?

I've found a thread on ebay's boards and someone else is having the same problem.

Incidentally ebay have replied about the listing that I put on last night and told me that according to them it was listed at 11.51 yesterday morning. It most definately wasn't.

I use turbo lister as I am not a massive seller so I keep it simple.

If you have found someone else having problems it might be worth trying to find more as ebay may take more notice if there are a whole group of people affected. Have you looked on uk.people.consumers.ebay , as the more people you can find the more I reckon you'll be listened to.

We used turbo lister yesterday for 2 out of the 3 items and their times are still correct.
Do you have a link for the link for the "uk.people.consumers.ebay" please?
    Thanks for your help.
  • My flatmate had this problem too on his listing that ended last night. I've got one ending tonight - I'll have to check it.
