I am in receipt of high rate DLA,@ low rate care component no income support, or means tested benefit i get incapacity benefit we are a couple children grown up and left home now. I'm the holder of the Merchant Navy Seamen's war veterans medal. For supplying British armed forces in two war zones. Following a surgery blunder i suffer from Chronic Osteomyelitis i am 56yrs old and was wondering would i be entitled to the extra allowance under the DLA Rules to the extra allowance given to Armed forces veteran's, I should add i suffered as much trauma as most our armed forces and i am getting counseling for PTSD. This is not sour grapes its a genuine case and would like to here any views on the issue from other veterans. Regards all Sam.
