Good news if you are buying ipod touch as a early xmas present

We purchased an ipod touch in Nov 2009 from Argos as a Christmas present for our son who opened it on christmas day. Come December 2010 (1 month out of warranty) the ipod broke and we asked Argos if they could help as it was just out of warranty. After a bit of a battle because of the date on the till receipt Argos made a phone call to Apple and to Argos's surprise said it didn't matter about the date on the receipt as Apple counts the warranty period from the time of registration on itunes which was xmas day.
So if anyone buys an ipod as a early christmas present remember the warranty only starts when it's registered with itunes and not what the date on the receipt says.
