I think there are some great employers out there and i think that the OP has got one great one there, i would say that any pay rise if any received by anyone else would be about 2%. Well that's all i used to get every year. It never ceases to amaze me that how greedy and ungrateful some people are even in time's of great economic uncertainty they all want more..If they don't like what is on offer then i suggest they move onto another less well paying job.0

No - the employees are not being unreasonable. Any company, especially in the oil industry, that can cough up all the perks mentioned can easily put its hand in its back pocket and find another 1%..................
