Wembly Arena - parking tip

Went to Wembly Arena yesterday to John Bishop....superb
Anyway if you plan to take the car, you must of course be prepared to pay for parking.
I was advised not to go for the Arena carpark firstly most expensive and secondly can't get out for all the others leaving the carpark at the same time.
We used `Stadium Carparks` but to my surprise when we got there, we parked in a pub car park and just showed them our email. As we were there, instead of paying Arena prices for a meal and having to fight along with everyone else to get served, we ate at the pub.
After that short 10 mins walk to the venue and afterward got in the car and home in record time.
What I would do another time though is book directly with the pub as it would be cheaper. Maybe if you have a meal there you wouldn't have to pay at all, but they did seem to keep an eye on cars coming and leaving.
The pub in question is the `Green Man` in Dagmar Avenue.

You basically parked with one of those outfits that take over random office or other carparks on event nights haven't you? I do the same when going to the MEN arena (or used to until I moved to manchester!). All official advice is 'oh no steer clear of them' for no particular reason, but I think they're really good. I mean, £9 for about 4 hours parking, and waiting an hour to get out, seriously?0

When I used to go there for concerts, at first I parked with the those outfits with the office spaces who charged a little cheaper than the arena car park. Then one time I found a couple of businesses (closed at night) nearby which had open off road parking, I parked there for free
. I dont go there for concerts anymore as im from southeast london and go to the o2 instead, again park free at the odeon cinema and walk 15mins.
