My son took one into Sainsbury's last night and it took 1 assistant and 3 supervisors before it was ok'd, as it was £4.97.

But great find, thank you OP.

Sainsbury's didn't let me have it for £4.97. They said the price has to be £5.00 at least.
  • I got mine, took 2 people to look at voucher but they accepted it just fine and gave me the full £5 off!!
    Thanks OP

Went through the self-service check out last night and the voucher wouldn't go through. The guy there checked I had scanned the product and said he would have to ask the "manager" as the voucher was over the cost of the product.
The "manager" came over (aged 18-20, lol) and refused the voucher. Couldn't be bothered to argue as I wanted to get home, so just took back the voucher out of his hand (will use today), told him to cancel off my items (only a medium shop, so not too much work for them) and walked away.
Forgot to wish a Merry Xmas, will do that today.
The voucher has worked several times through the normal tills, so that's where I'll be using it today. lol

what a performance i had getting my pack!!! my voucher wouldnt scan so they took me to customer services and then said it couldnt be allowed as it was priced at £4.97 (sainsbury's), but the voucher was £5 - the only way she said i coul. redeem the coupon was to charge me £4.97 for the voucher and me pay 3p!!! i was so fed up i did that!! (i must have chosen the worlds grumpiest assistants at the supermarket), but for 3p, good bargain still!! why do these coupons that you print out never scan directly!!!

Would've been easier if they'd just selected put it through as a £4.97 coupon!
