halifax update and question...

Recently recieved the sar information we asked for, 3 THICK wads of paper and info and all the statements from past and present.
I am confused with adding up the PPI refund, do we add every months worth of ppi, total it and then add interest of 8% or add 8% to every months ppi payment individually?
Also what is the next step...We have already sent the original letter stating we want a refund but is it best to wait and see halifax next move or should we add up the ppi amount and then ask again for refund..
thanks

Hi there
You can ask them to send you a written detailed breakdown of the calculations if your successful, they should do this on request.
You can post up your figures on here if you want to, and I'm sure they will be worked out for you.
I take it this is for a loan ppi, or credit card maybe?
Meanwhile check on how the FOS calculates ppi refunds, this may also give you an idea, as this differs from a loan ppi to credit card ppi, this link was posted by MAXDP on another thread.
