I know the Scottish stores were. Have the English stores changed too?
Dont know enough about IKEA kitchens to comment other than when I was at GDK customers said there wasnt much difference in price but the Nobilia cabinet/drawer box looked better quality.
As for flat pack kitchens if you have a good fitter you wouldnt know the difference. IMO flat packs are dying out because fitters cant be bothered putting the time in to build them when they have people like Howdens and Magnet Trade who stock rigid kitchens. Crosby kitchens were 18mm colour coord carcase, blumotion drawer boxes good range of door styles but didnt do great cause they are flat pack(think they are bust now)
I bought our kitchen from IKEA, the units are 18mm chipboard with 25year guarantee, and appeared to be pretty much identical to those found at magnet, B&Q etc., but significantly cheaper. Doors also seem to be the same quality too if you go for the more expensive ranges, which are still about 75% cheaper than magnet...it all comes flatpacked though...
Another vote for Ikea here! :j
We got one 15 months ago, a lot cheaper than a B&Q kitchen of inferior quality, and they offer a 25 year warranty on them. I'd never considered them until the fitter told me to check them out.
