Incorrect Date On Parking Ticket

I got a ticket today for being parked in a space longer than permitted.
Today's date is the 15/12/10 the ticket says 14/12/10.
Is there any grounds to dispute the ticket?
I'm bang to rights but don't want to give them any of my hard earned cash unless I have to.

Assuming you can prove you were elsewhere then its a non starter, but don't expect them to give in at the pcn stage. Could be useful to post also on pepipoo.com. as well.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

There should be two dates on the ticket, date of issue and date of contravention. Are they both 14th?0

I would appeal something along these lines:Dear sir,
PCN no xxxx
On 15th December the above PCN was placed on my vehicle alleging that on the 14th December the following contravention occurred:
Code XX (descpition as per PCN).
Since my vehicle was parked at (location) at (time) on the 14th December, I would be grateful if you would cancel the PCN on the grounds that the contravention did not occur.
Yours sincerely
However I would also recommend you post on pepipoo as they are the experts.0
