Can I get a Credit Card in time for Christmas

Can anyone tell me if I can get a Credit Card in time for Christmas. Virgin say if I apply online today and get automatic acceptance, can have it within 7-10 days but no doubt this may be longer with the Christmas post, does anyone have any knowledge of this, or a quicker card to get. Thanks
£2015 in 2015 (Although actual goal is £10 a day)

Metro bank apparently offer a credit card. There's little information on their website other than it is a Mastercard and the APR is 13%. No introductory offer is advertised. If it's like their debit cards they will be able to produce the card while you wait. You need to open it in person in one of their London branches though.

I very much doubt that you'll be able to get card & pin before Christmas....
  • I applied for a tesco credit card last weekend and got accepted, i received the pin today but not the card yet
  • Sorry, but someone has to say this at some point.... Please don't get yourself in debt for Christmas!!! It comes round every year, and you just have to accept that some years you may not be able to afford to splash out as much as you'd like to. People always use the term "need" when it comes to going out and drinking gallons of beer at christmas or "needing" to buy certain presents for people, the truth is, you "want" to do these things, but if you don't have the funds then you shouldn't do it. You'll only spend January and February misrable trying to pay off you credit card.

You can still have a brilliant Christmas without spending much, just think of it as fighting back against those capitalist pigs at the shopping centres who only see christmas as a money making month.
