Orders from Play

Apologies if this is the wrong board, but I was wondering whether anyone else is waiting for orders from Play.com
My order is 11 days late now, and was intended as a xmas gift. On the website it says you can only contact them regarding this after 21 days. Is anyone else finding they are waiting for orders from this company? (I am concerned as an Amazon order from the same time also did not arrive which seems like a funny coincidence...I am not in a snowy region either!!)

heya my order from play was received 11 days after posting but it did come. iam guessing the bad weather caused a backlog somewhere as a few items from different places hae taken longer than usual. hope it arrives soon xx

Yes they do. I usually get mine about 10 days after a despatch email. HTH

I got a delivery from Play last Sunday PM, came as a surprise. I think they are probably swamped and trying to catch up with the backlog from the bad weather 10 days ago.

I'm just ditto'ing the coments above... in the last 4 months or so everything I have ordered from there has taken an age... Amazon is a little quicker for me but still taking best part of a week.
If you email them explaining they were Christmas gifts they may do something about it, like re send you the items on the understanding you'll return the originals or complete a missing in post form if they don't arrive. Unlikely but worth a shot.
I emailed them once saying it's been 15 days and I haven't received the item and I need it for a gift so have bought it from the high st. They refunded the item and said I could keep it if it did turn up. (It was only a £3 book though)

I learned last year, never to order somthing from play.com during december. Their customer service is terrible, never reply to emails. I placed an order i think last year around the 5th of December, and seen it on the 27th. Luckly it was not a christmas present.

Guess I've just been lucky - 2 items ordered from Play around the end of November arrived within 7 days.

Well I ordered a DVD from Asda.com - Came from Jersey and took 9 days from dispatch. Normally whenever I order from Play it comes within 2-3 days though

We have been waiting week or so. Usually here much quicker. Looks like they are overwhelmed somewhere!

I ordered on Monday and items arrived today !! never had a bad experiance with them at all
