Honeymoon in Dubai

Hello all
I am looking to go to Dubai for my honeymoon in March.
Do you have any recommended hotels? I have seen so many on trip advisor etc and cannot decide.
I was going to book the atlantis as i assumed its one of the top hotels there. I was expecting to spend 10 days there with my partner.
On the other hand i am also thinking about splitting the holiday - Dubai and Mauritius but not sure which destination there is more to do making it difficult to split the days. I can stretch to about 14 days if needed.
Any advice is appreciated?
Also i have been dubai before but only for work so it wasnt a social visit. I liked it and loved the weater. Went in May.
Thanks

Hi
A two centre holiday would be possible with Dubai and Mauritius
There are many hotels in Dubai you can look at, are you just looking to relax and chill for 10 days?
Thanks

Hi we are looking for relaxation, shopping and entertainment.
We dont want to run around a lot but do want to do a few things.
Thanks0 -
I think Dubai and somewhere else would be better than 10 days in Dubai for a honeymoon. If not Mauritius you could do Maldives (maybe Kuredu)then Dubai as you get free stopovers in Dubai with Emirates.
If you had your beach holiday you could then stay in a more central hotel in Dubai ie near the Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa and the hotels would be cheaper than on the beach.
A couple of good hotels within walking distance of the Mall are Al Manzil and Qamardeen.
It really depends on your budget as March prices are high for hotels in Dubai (and also Maldives)
Atlantis hotel is really being promoted at the moment but its not really near anywhere and there are better hotels.
PS Just noted your debts - are your really sure your honeymoon cant wait till you have cleared them! Our honeymoon was 25 years later!!0 -

I agree. Dubai is interesting enough for 3-4 days but any longer would be a stretch unless all you want to do is lay by the pool in a luxury hotel resort. If you use Emirates you should be able to put together a good two centre deal and the airline also has access to lots of good hotel deals in Dubai.0 -
We went to Mauritius for our honeymoon. Lovely place for a bit of rest and relaxation. We stayed at Legends hotel and they had 2 trips thrown in on their all inclusive package so still stuff to do. Entertainment every night in the bar and watersports at the beach.
A friend of mine stayed at Grosvenor house in Dubai. Said it was great.0 -
We went to Dubai for a long weekend in November and stayed at Park Hyatt on the Creek - and very fabulous it was too. Didn't fancy being out near the beach as it's a long way from anything but itself.
We mostly sat by the pool drinking cocktails, not all the time though it was tempting. There was the first rain in 12 months one day but it only lasted for about 5 - 10 minutes, we enjoyed watching the sandstorm first.
Can't praise the Park Hyatt enough and we will go back next year for a weekend of relaxation.

Dubai sounds amazing, but if your worried about not having enough to do but liking similar things, what about looking at Oman or somewhere similar, which are cheaper but have a lot of things to do. There are some amazing hotels, and its not so much a tourist destination so still amazing things to do but without all the crowds.0
