    paid for next day delivery and still nothing 3 days later.... hmmm, don't think it'll be in time for xmas at this rate... bother!

    Got my despatch e-mail this morning, but my order is coming by Royal Mail - lucky it's only for my son, and he has enough already so won't notice if this little extra turns up a little late.
    Property buying/selling timeline - currently into week 21
    04/12/20: Both properties listed for sale
    11/01/21: Offers accepted on both sales & on our joint purchase
     25/01/21: Identity checks completed, solicitors instructed
     27/01/21: Purchase survey & valuation complete, mortgage offer received 
     05/02/21: Reduction agreed on partner's sale (under-valuation) & on purchase. Mortgage offer amended
     08/02/21: Buyers pack returned to solicitor - sellers packs already returned
    26/02/21: Partner's sale contract signed
    10/03/21: Purchase searches all back
    16/03/21: My sale contract signed
    28/03/21: Purchase enquiries satisfied, Title Report & contracts issued, contracts signed & returned
    11/05/21: Still waiting on final enquiry in the adjoining chain to be resolved. Consent to break the chain granted, instruction to move to exchange given.
    17/05/21: All parties agreed to June 3rd for completion
    27/05/21: Exchanged on my sale only
    28/05/21: ALL EXCHANGED!
    03/06/21: Completion

    I paid Wednesday teatime, got it at lunchtime. I'm impressed! I haven't had a despatch email yet and the tracking part of JL site shows tracking numbers but no further info. I'm a VERY happy bunny today!
    They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm. :grin:

    Ordered some extra toys zhu zhu hamsters and ben 10 stuff, on Wednesday night from John Lewis.

    Only received a confirmation of order from them, but pleasantly surprised when parcel turned up today.

    Top marks to John Lewis for speedy delivery and thanks op for the tip off.

    I really must stop spending now. Sons xmas pile is massive now.

    I paid for named day delivery for today as i ordered some toys and DH's main presents too (not toys lol) but i am worried now as it was snowing hard earlier... Where abouts are you? I had a despatched email this morning and according to CityLink it's out for delivery... nail biting! :think:

    i managed to get the toy workshop ordered today from kingston branch. they have said not guaranteed for xmas but can only hope!

    Well my named day delivery came and went without delivery of my goods yesterday, but i phone JL this morning and great customer services! They refunded my delivery charge and as they could access more info on my tracking than i can, i was told my parcel was out for delivery today and Citylink are working 9am-9pm today to try and get parcels delivered. Fingers cross for today... although it's snowing hard atm... :(
