Egg money extra 12 month warranty

Hi,

After noting that the following MSE page seemed to indicate that items bought on an Egg money card should be registered within 90 days (see MSE insurance/cheap-free-warranties [eggmoney section]), I contacted Egg to find out how to do this. Their response was:


"The Purchase Protection insurance that is on your Egg Money account provides theft and accidental damage cover for Covered Purchases made with your Egg Money Card subject to the terms conditions and limitations shown in the policy. Purchase Protection covers most purchases of new personal items (including gifts) that you buy anywhere in the world.

Payable benefits are subject to a limit of ?3000 per item ?6000 per claim and ?15000 per cardholder per year.

Significant exclusions and limitations are:

*Any items costing less than ?75
*Items not purchased in full at the point of sale with a single transaction on the Egg Money card
*Stolen items which haven't been reported to the police within 36 hours
*Damage caused by normal wear and tear
*Consumable or perishable items

You don't need to register the items for this cover.
