ipod video dvd to mpeg4 converter

Hi - following a great tip on MSE i'm about to get an i-pod 30gig video. I'm not an expert in i-tunes but am starting to import my CD/PC (MP3) music collection into I-tunes.

I a massive film fan and want to convert my shop purchased Region 2 DVDs so I can view them on my ipod. I apprecite this will take some conversion software. And that I wont exactly be able to store 100's on the i-pod more like 2 or 3

Can any one recomment software and the process to undertake - i've searched the forums but can't fund anything specific.

My home pc is Windows XP SP2, of reasonable spec.

Check your PMs.

You should be able to fit in excess of 40 DVD videos on to the iPod.

The Freeware version was added a couple of days ago, though looks 2MB larger than the Shareware version.

Interested to know what they've added.

Personally, I love Clone DVD mobile (+ AnyDVD). Not free but not expensive, something like £25. The beauty is that it's so simple to use, basically 3 clicks and you are there. Do a search on Google.

Movies end up something like 500mB, so there's room for loads and loads!
