Oh there will definately be a next time, I love being a blonde, and don't want to go back to being a natural red head. So i will persevere with it and hope it doesn't happen again.0

I find that the only time I have a reaction is when I have or am just about to have my period. Its just due to hormones at the time, I end up with lots of little scabby bits over my scalp, never bothered with them any other time. Now I just avoid getting my hair coloured (bleached) when I'm due on, problem solved.:rotfl: l love this site!! :rotfl:0

I wonder if this could be the cause of it, as i am due on, on Saturday. Mind you surely this can't be the first time in the last 2 years. But i suppose it is something else to think of.0 -

After being a bleached blonde for many years, I developed an allergy to the bleach and had to change to having blonde highlights, where the bleach doesn't have to touch the scalp. Sorry.0 -
There is a new brand of colour called INOA which does not use Ammonia and could be worth a shot? it can lighten and I have had it done. It isn;t so great for reds, mine washed out within weeks, but it did stay lightened and the condition and shine that go with it are what made me want to go back for more! (Am so so lucky as I got this done as a hair model for a fraction of the cost!).
I would also suggest that if you are doing this again with the same bleach, do have a patch test. A 48 hour before they dab a little of the solution behind your ear. The idea is you don't wash the area for 24 hours at least and note any reactions, washing it off if it does burn. Please be careful, a allergic reaction can be deadly and if not can leave scarring which I am sure being blonde would not rectify. http://www.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&rlz=1T4GFRC_enGB322GB322&q=hair+allergic+reaction&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1003&bih=5960
