Brother dcp117c ink problem

I refilled a black ink cartridge last week, but the ink level indicator failed to reset itself and the printer continues to tell me its empty.
During this time, the colours ran out too.

so, I have now replaced all 4 cartridges with brand new ones, 3 colours and 1 black.
The colours are ok, but the black still shows as empty
any idea how to reset the indicator ?
Tom

Seems a bit of an issue on the net. However some useful tips HERE
It owuld appear that most people are putting black insulating tape on the sensor at the back of the cartridge to fool the printer
:confused:I have nothing better to do!!!!
