Can I just check that I have an ok combination of virus software etc on my comp and none are clashing.
After just getting it back from the repair shop, the last thing I need is a virus
I have Norton internet security (subscription expires next April) firewall, anti virus etc
Windows defender (beta version)
CCleaner
Spy Blaster
Ad aware
Spy bot
Do these all work in harmony ? Any advice would be greatfully received
Thanks in advance

Shouldnt have an issue. You generally have a problem with more than one AV program, the others you list are spyware related so all should be ok.
I have nothing better to do!!!!

I have run a similar set up in the past with no issues.
Today I run almost the same but with a diffrent av and again no problems.0 -
As others have said, combining AV programs is where people run into serious problems. Combining Firewalls wont often cause problems but is significant overkill.
Whilst it wont cause a problem to be running large numbers of security programs do remember that each one does use up some of your systems resources and will therefore ultimately slow down the computer for things you actually want to be doing.... I have known some people with so much "protection" running on their computers that it was actually making the computer run much slower than if the thing had actually be infested with virusesAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

You shouldn't have any conflicts with that setup. Some people have had problems with Norton being unreliable or slowing down PCs quite a bit.
When your subscription to Norton expires, you might like to try the free AVG antivirus program (http://free.grisoft.com/) and maybe the (also free) ZoneAlarm firewall (http://www.zonelabs.com/). Both are very good.0 -
