Hiya,
Anyone know how to stop the 'download our security software' message popping up, every time I log in to Santander's online banking website?
There doesn't seem to be the option to turn it off!
Cheers,
Sim.

That's kind of like saying the only way to stop a bully beating you up for your lunch money is to give him your lunch money.
But sadly, since it's Santander we're talking about here, it's probably true. You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -
The script that is showing the popup is https://www.advanced-web-analytics.com/83179/splash.js
If you are using firefox there is a couple of ways you can block this:
1 - install the noscript addin and block the script when you go to the login page.
2 - install the adblock plus addin and set a rule to block that script.
Noscript is an intrusive addin which blocks scripts on all pages unless you allow them. It's not for everyone.
Adblock plus gives you the benefit of blocking adverts on sites.0 -
Easy really, use good bank that has a high customer satifaction (say 80% or over). That will rule out Santander I think!0
