Redundancy payment query

Morning, I am hoping that someone could offer me some advice or point in the direction of where I could look. The position I find myself in is that I work for a rapidly contracting retail company (24 shops at the start of this year, now down to 8!) and it is becoming increasingly clear that all the shops are probably going to close.
I have started to job hunt although I really don't want to leave as I love my current job but unfortunately can't afford to take a chance on waiting until I'm pushed.
My query is that I am currently working at a higher level (and wage) due to maternity cover. If I am made redundant before I find another job would I be entitled to redundancy pay at this higher rate or would it be based on my "normal" wage. If it makes any difference I will have been doing the job for a full year on 4th Jan. and am due to carry on for another couple of months to hand the role back over to the returning employee.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks

redundancy should be based on the average of the previous 12 weeks if the pay is not the same evey week.
Statutory redundancy is capped at £380pw so if you earn more than this it won't mater
You get 1 week per year(adjusted if over 41)0 -
