    Hi everyone :santa2:

On lunch... Another fun day in the office...

    Today:
    - Soup for lunch - 3 cans for £1.77 so that's me sorted till Friday :T
    - Concert tonight - folky thing with Christmas carols :)
    - Got remaining pressies, I think ;)
    - Need to check banking - forgot yesterday, but not sure when I'll get a chance...
    - Might take drink/snacks to concert; walk there and back

    Catch up soon folks!

I have friday off so yesterday afternoon was the midweek hump...nearly there!
Anyway, bit of a baddun' today. I should have plenty of cash to get home from Ireland on Wednesday, go for a final cheap pub meal with my Irish mates on tuesday and get the odd bit of food for next weeks pack up but....

I have to fly over to the UK on friday to the works party- they're paying my expenses, but that in until the end of next week, which means I'm short for the petrol to Belfast and back and the airport carparking :-( So I'm going to have to ask the mother for a small loan until it comes through (which I hate doing)

    But today I have:
    Had a pack up
    checked online bank
Sorted my budgets and spreadsheet for 2011
not bought a snack at work so it's a NSD

    Swings and roundabouts I suppose

  • Hi Candy,

I'm new to the forum, but I just couldn't help respond to your optimism and great advice! I saw a great post today that talked about small steps to take to stay warm for cheap, but since I'm new, I can't post it here. Still, if you Google Billy's Blog, you'll find it. Definitely worth a check.

I hope it helps you and others!

    All the best,
    s

    Hi all

Hope everyone is good. Am posting oh about 6 hours earlier than I usually do which is kinda nice..

    Today I:

    - had a LSD day- lunch provided by work, bought coffees for me and a colleague though but next one will be free as I have completed a loyalty card so £3 spend today exactly
    - checked with bank re mortgage and my overpayment pot is £1532 above my estimate of my outstanding balance (to the good if you see what I mean) which I logged ( as a guess) last week on MFiT-3... a great result. Love making the small ad hoc payments- they really add up
    - lovely dinner from the fridge and omelette with eggs from our chooks...loving it

That's it. If anything else happens will update

    Cheers guys
