Hi,
I'd like to book a surprise weekend away for my partner and I in the first part of next year. It'd have to be a weekend break, probably Friday morning flights if possible, and late Sunday return.
Birmingham would be easiest for us to fly from...
Neither of us have ever been to Rome, but we'd both like too, so any help would be appreciated!

There are no flights from Birmingham to Rome, you can go from East Midlands/Stansted/Liverpool with ryanair or Bristol with Easyjet though.0

Heathrow would probably be next easiest, is it possible to go from there? I've looked at the Heathrow website but wow is it confusing!!
Thanks everyone

I've been to Rome in March. It's usually decent weather, but not too hot. I would recommend wikitravel.org for things to do, and if you're interested in sightseeing then try to plan as much as you can beforehand so you can fit more in, allow for opening/closing times etc. Rome is also pretty expensive, so you'll want plenty of money
