There is a lot of money in ebooks! I went to internet seminar 2 weeks ago where 12 multimillionaires shared their online secrets. A lot sell ebooks as their first product but a couple of guys from Wigan showed us their paypal account from September where they took just over £41,000 for the MONTH on ebooks alone!
They find what people need info on then pay someone to do research and write a 60 page ebook on that subject. They then sell it usually at $47 a go!

The internet/Info business is a very big business, I'm starting to realise that:-)
  • There does seem to be a great deal of doubt when it comes to ebooks where this thread in concerned.

Yes, I am an internet marketer

Yes, I do write my own ebooks

Yes, a great number of ebooks are pants

It all very much depends upon who wrote them and why.

It is possible to throw an ebook together based on articles that you pay someone else to write for you. There is a good chance that the ebook will be average to pants but the seller isn't too bothered about that.

The main purpose of this ebook will be to use it as a give away with give away rights or resell rights so that it is passed around to as many people as possible. The original seller of the ebook will then either make money from affiliate links for products related to the subject of the book and or use it to bring visitors to one of his/her websites and or use it to gain email list subscribers.

All of the three aims can be very profitable.

The downside to this is that the ebooks which are being churned out at such a high rate are normally average to pants which then gives people that all ebooks are of the same parity.

Normally if it's free then the content may not be too good.

You get what you pay for but at the end of the day - ebooks have their use and place in an internet marketers arsenal.

Saying that eBooks are a scam is like saying books are a scam. It's content that counts, not the media itself.
Many eBooks are traded on eBay as a way of buying/selling feedback. Having said that I picked up a really useful one about Google AdWords for 1p!
    Can I help?

Pardon my ignorance but was is an ebook?

Is this specifically the books for sale on ebay that promise you a fortune, or is it any book that is printed and you can download for a sum of money off of the internet?

An eBook is a book in electronic format. Normally that means you can download it and read it on your PC.

    Thank you for that.

In that case I paid good money for a book from America which was supposed to give a cure for an ailment I had at the time.

I paid good money for this book to discover it was full of stuff I knew already which was also common knowledge for treatment, nothing new in fact.

I couldn't be ar... to try to retrieve a refund so I didn't bother. What it did teach me though was I wouldn't buy anything like that again.

I'm actually a member of an internet marketing website.

Floodle must be a member and steals the ebooks. He/She alters sometimes copyrighted items and places his/her own affiliate links in them (these are where in an ebook the author may reccomend a service and get commision)

It might look a good site but the owner is a thief of other peoples work

At 11:42 he must be a member, then...........

He doesn't! Why does he insert his own affiliate links in to the ebooks then?

What he's done is joined a paid site, which I also belong to and is nicking all the content and publishing it for free on his site. This is where he's claiming he's buying them.

The thing is though altering them is not allowed. Some ebook writers are now getting their work properly protected as many are just normal people on low income. However if he continues to get his ebook from this sourse where the authors are now starting to protect their work it won't be long untill someone catches him. I plan to do this as well!

Then at 2:07pm he`s joined the same pay site as you.

Wow thats fast detective work. :T

Sorry now for my 2 penith worth

If you have managed to clear £15,000 of debt in 6months well judging by the pic of your account i`m suprised the bank hasn`t asked you to explain why nearly everyday theres money being transfered to your account. ( what with stricter laws on laundering these days), oh and before you jump down my throat at the money laundering thing, it doesn`t have to be 1 amount of say £5,000 or £10,000 , it can be small constant `ie` virtually everyday amounts taking place.

And that comes from a new member who`s OH works for a large well known bank in the data processing section.

So please stop trying to dis others that are offering things for free.

I`ll get back on my fence now.

You can draw your own conclusions about internet marketing! I've just managed to clear £15,000 of debts in 6 months with it, I'm not complaining!!!!!

LOL just noticed your screen name!........And I did!

Why do all you 'internet marketers' do that - 'look at my Paypal account, WOW, I have lots of money, this method must work!'

It is very well showing me the money you have going INTO your account, but what is going out? What are your COSTS. You may very well make £5K in a month, but you may have spent loads of Ad Words or something else.

I suspect you are selling 'get rich quick ebooks' to customers. A method which sounds wonderful but will never work in a million years. The only person to profit is the Ebook writer.

    .

Thats what I was saying, I wasn't trying to be a detective!

And yeah at £3,500 paypal as you to confirm some details.

What I do...........I've sold ebooks on eBay, theres not much money in it and as you say a high cost.

I make mini sites keyword/seo promoting a service/product I'm an affiliate of. that way my cost is around £2.50 a month for the hosting, I use one versatile domain name I've registered for all the sites. And it works!
