The insurance company put them in contact with me because they said I was entitled to a car. The insurance company have stepped back now and said that its nothing to do with them, but they put them in contact with me, and my policy states that you are entitled to a car because I am fully comp. When on the phone to Helphire they didnt discuss prices with me because I would never have agreed to pay what they charge. £1560 for 21 days hire for a Fiat Bravo.
Write to Helphire by recorded delivery letter and request a "Subject Access Report" on your file including phone calls, they are obliged to send a copy of the data they have on you within 40 days. You need to inclde a cheque for £10
They mentioned this already but they are going to review the recording first. They stated they only go off the end declaration, but I said you must listen to the hole conversation not just the end, so they are reviewing. When I spoke to somone last nite they said they dont record every call just a few, i dont know how true this is, but when they listen to the hole tape I stressed not just once that I didnt want a bill at all and they said I wouldnt.
