EDF energy unexpected charge

I am currently on one of the online saver 4 tarriff with with EDF for gas and electricity and have been with them approaching a year. I pay by monthly direct debit.
I just accessed my account to provide a meter reading, which I do monthly, and have found that on the 6th December they have taken £60.83 from my credit balance with the rather generic title of 'Electricity charge'. There is also a 15p credit for direct debit discount for the same day.
I am currently between bills at the moment (last one was October) so was not expecting any charges and have no idea what this may relate to, nor have I had any notification of this.
I will call them tomorrow, but before I do has anyone else had anything similar? Does anyone know what this could be for? Is it likely to be an error?

In case anyone was interested, I called EDF and they advised that this charge was an for estimated use of electricity and was triggered because I switched tarriff from online saver 4 to online saver 7. I wasn't expecting it to be so early but no big deal.
Anyway the good part is they did confirm that this charge will be reflected on my next bill, so there is nothing to worry about.0
