Hi,
I have moved to a new house 10months ago and since the move i have been refused CCs. I applied a few times but not at the same time - 1 application every few months. I did the compare site thing - which rejected me for any CC when i put that i have only been in my new place 10 months and when i said 2years + i had loads of potential CCs to choose from. I have looked at my credit report and it looked ok - and i have made a few modifications on it. I have asked to be put on electrolal roll in my new address, but despite doing it 2months ago i am still not showing on it... what else can i do???

Wait another few days/weeks and you'll be on it.I have asked to be put on electrolal roll in my new address, but despite doing it 2months ago i am still not showing on it... what else can i do???
The annual canvas takes place between August and November, with the details being uploaded to the CRAs from December 1st. An Experian rep was on this board recently saying they're currently working to a 3 week timescale for the estimated 2m updates notified.
What do you mean by "modifications"?i have made a few modifications on it0 -
notified to make certain corrections - couple of bank accounts which i closed a while ago were showing as still open etc... nothing major

You just need to wait until you are showing as being on the electoral register.
Also, how many applications (and therefore searches made against your credit record) have you made within the last 6 months? My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.
They are not a substitute for professional financial advice - but you knew that already didn't you?

Yup electoral role will be a fairly hard block these days.
What I did when I was moving around alot (student/immediately after uni) was keep one account registered at my parents address and do all applications from there.0 -
This happened to me too and it is a real pain so I can certainly sympathise - more so if you have been waiting for 10 months plus! You must be really hacked off. I eventually caved in and applied for some really rubbish cards with rates that I'd normally avoid like the plague, and strangely enough was accepted right away. If you're desperate and need the extra cashflow, you might want to consider it too. But I am now hoping to transfer the balance on these now that the electoral roles update is apparently 'imminent', so it will probably be worth your while to wait.
I gather the updates to electoral roles ARE imminent, but like many people here I've grown massively inpatient about this as it seems to be taking an age to get reflected on any records. Probably a result of funding cuts I'd guess...0
