how much to flatten a sloped driveway?

i have a driveway thats very sloped almost 45 dgrees, what price range would it be to, from the top highest bit, make that a step at 90 degrees to a flat bit, that then slopes to the road?

so basically cutting the middle out and making a flat carport, any ideas? its about as long as it would be to put a saloon car

I'm guessing your house is at the top, the road at the bottom?

Initially thought it would just be a labouring job, then I thought of drainage. presumably you don't want a waterfall.

I think you want to include some measurements, how high will the step be and how high the wall at the end of the car spot?

How is this wall going to be supported?

I've just levelled off my back garden with a retaining wall made from new soft wood treated sleepers. The sleepers cost £13 each delivered from a small local lumber yard. They are 8' long 8"wide & 5" deep. Using special screws (Screwfix or Bunny's Bolts) they are very easy to put together once the first course is level. You might need a more powerful drill than normal. If the drill is reversible you can take it all apart!!!
    Nice to save.

I have this problem - house is lower then the road with a sloped drive. The only way I have been told is to build a retaining wall if I want it level. I was told the slope could be reduced but I am not sure how much by.
