WTC - awaiting payment schedule ?

I put in a claim for working tax credits 10/11/10, waited 3 weeks, gave them a call only to be told its gone to 'head office', they couldnt give me a reason why, a contact number or anything. Called today and was told that its 'awaiting payment schedule' and it was backdated for the 93 days I requested when i put in the claim, and they didn't need any other information
When I asked when a payment would be made he didn't know, i asked if it would be before Christmas and again he didn't know.
Has anyone else been awaiting payment schedule, and how long did you have to wait for a payment?
what does it all mean

He couldn't tell you when you would get a payment because the schedule of payments until the end of the tax year has not appeared on the screen yet.
Basically your claim was processed quite quickly by TCO standards and when it is initially processed it comes up as awaiting award. Whilst in this state any checks that need to be made will be made. Sometimes this takes several weeks as TCO check that a child is definitely in childcare or a claimant is definitely getting the level of DLA that they claim.
Once the claim is confirmed as genuine the claim goes from awaiting award to award issued. Usually within a couple of days of that happening the payment schedule will appear on the screen and the payments can be confirmed if you can't wait and want to call the TCO helpline. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. yep if you were told "were just waiting for a payment schedule" it basically means your award has been issued and the computer system is in the process of calculating your awar and sorting out a payment schedule, sometimes it can take 24/48 hours, sometimes a little bit longer, if it goes on longer it usually means its stuck in a processing que (stuck in the system) and if it goes past a certain amount of time they can do a workaround on the system to 'push it through' and create the payment schedule. So basically TCO have done everything (fairly quick by TCO standards) and its just a case of the system doing its job! keep checking your bank account for payments, might be quicker than constantly waiting to get through to the helpline and asking for updates or waiting for the award notice.0

Hi, have you received your payment from the tax credits office yet? I have just been told that my claim is now awaiting payment schedule after waiting since October 12th, and am wondering how long it will be now before I see any money, and whether i'll witness a Christmas miracle of it going in before Christmas!
