    NTL/VM used to provide a branded wireless router made by Actiontec,they caused us a hell of a lot of problems & were a one-off purchase by the customer.
    Going by the medium of what we got then,I'd say the Service Tech you had come out is spot on.

    99.9999999999% it is the fault of the router, you can usually buy a decent one for £30.
