I think they will play on a region 2 machine as I have noticed on CD WOW that some or their DVD's have multiple coding of region 2 and 4 so I presume a region 2 player will lay them but if not it is very easy to make majority of DVD players multiregion

Just state in the auction that it is region 4 and you may need a multiregion player for it to work so this way it covers you

Some R4s are dual-coded, a lot aren't. If it is, it will say on the back. Make sure you specify that it is R4 and don't mention R2 IMO.

It all depends on the disk. As mentioned, many DVDs are dual R2/R4, but not all R4 DVDs are also R2.

Of course any multi-region player should play them anyway, as they're PAL just like ours... the only thing preventing anyone from playing them is the stupid region coding.

That said, I believe selling foreign disks in the UK is technically illegal unless they're the same as the BBFC-rated version? Not that you're likely to have the police turning up on your doorstep as a result :).

They could also be NTSC as R4 uses both PAL and NTSC. No problem on most modern TV's but could be a problem on older ones.
