Scottish Power Cheaper then E-On?
Options
Howdy!
I have finally got some time to research gas & electicity prices to change. I am planning to change to
E-on SaveOnline 4 and I got quoted
Gas
First 650 kWh per quarter at 5.415p
Afterwards 2.574p
Electricity
First 225 kWh per quarter at 20.034p
Afterwards 8.547p
Which is cheaper then I have at the moment. However, I checked Energy Help Online and it states Scottish Power is cheaper. Have I missed something because I thought their prices had risen?
For Scottish Power Online Energy Saver 12 it states
Gas
5.216 p for the first 670 kWh per quarter, and 2.710 p thereafter
Electricity
18.035 p for the first 225 kWh per quarter, and 8.185 p thereafter
Plus it then says
**EXCLUSIVE: £60 CASHBACK (£30 / fuel)!**
Just to make sure I am not missing anything... Scottish Power is cheaper and I will get £60 cashback?
I just find the above strange when the website keeps mentioning that: "The fourth of the big six provider Npower has now joined British Gas, SSE & Scottish Power in announcing price hikes of up to 9%. EDF is holding standard prices until March, so only E.On has to show its hand."
Is there something I am missing that will make going to Scottish Power not a good idea?
The only thing is that the Eon early cancellation fee would be £30 and Scottish Power would be £50... but the £60 cashback makes up for that.
Thanks for any advice!

I have just checked quidco and you get £14 cashback if you use Energy Help Online to switch.
Then by using Energy Help Online to switch to Scottish Power you get £60 cashback.
So in total that is £74 cash back.
Unfortunately, I did not check Quidco till after I had already done it...0
