Now that redundancy looms we're looking at all our outgoings to sensibly cutting back where possible...
I have accepted voluntary due to the package on offer and cannot therefore claim on the policy.
We have an ASU with PaymentShield and have just been advised that the premium will rise to £66.38 p/m from 1/11
The policy is split 80/20 in my favour as my wife works part time.
Is it possible- as I may be out of work for a while- to cancel my aspect of the policy as its not going to be affected in any way due to my redundancy-reinstating when back in work
Is this advisable/possible.?..Or are there chapesr policies out there etc
Any advice appreciated as usual

I dont think so. You can certianly cancel your portion, but if they were to reinstae you it may be at an increased cost. yuo might as well just take out a new policy when needed. Best just ring them0
