Which London Hilton?

Which London Hilton is best for getting to the theatres around Leicester Square etc? I can find my way around the underground no problem but not sure which areas these hotels are in.
Usually stay at the Crowne Plaza Kensington but I see Hilton has a sale on.

  • Might not be a help, but I seem to remember the Hilton Islington always coming up for Top Secret Hotels (so you might get a deal). It's a couple of mins walk from Angel Tube which is 3/4 stops to Leicester Square (with 1 change), great area, loads and loads of amazing bars and restaurants around Upper St.

So a fab choice if you see it for an amazing deal.
  • Hilton Green Park is rubbish, don't stay there. Hilton Euston isn't too hot either.

The best Hiltons in London are Canary Wharf and Tower Bridge, though they aren't the most convenient for Theatreland.

Trafalgar and Waldorf are nice but expensive.

Islington and Kensington are both quite modern, nice and are easily reachable by tube. Paddington is also easily reachable but a little older in style, quite big rooms though. Metropole is average. Hyde Park isn't great. Forget Olympia.

The Kensington Hilton is fairly good as long as you don't expect it to be in Kensington. It's in really Shepherd's Bush just around the corner of the Westfield mall so transport links are good.

Olympia is terrible and expensive. It's just designed for exhibitors collapsing at the end of a day in the exhibition hall.
