cost of replacing radiators

i have been quoted £150 per radiator to replace 18 in my house giving a total of 2,700. this covers supply, fit, drain down and refill with inhibitor. is this excessive?

    Good quality standard radiators are fairly cheap (Google Stelrad and see), depending on what you want. Don't accept poor quality radiators.

    Do the math for type, size and number of radiators. Thermostatic valves as well, presumably, so that'll be about another £20 per radiator.

    Assuming no new pipework, just a few bits and pieces, this will leave you with the figure for time spent. Reckon on about £30-40 per hour and see if the difference seems about right.
