Hi,

Does anyone know of any soup kitchens in Birmingham? I really want to help out in one over Christmas but can't seem to find any information about my nearest one.

Thank you,

Lyndsey

You could try and offer your services to the Salvation Army organization.

There should be a telephone number in the local directory.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

You could also try your local church group, as these also provide a lot of services to homeless people over the Christmas period.

  • Hi,

Thanks, I'll get in touch with my local church and see if they are running anything. I did a search just for some other ways I can help out and found a link on another thread about Radio Lollipop, which is a radio station broadcast in childrens wards at hospitals. I'm going to contact them, and try the Salvation Army and Birmingham Mission - I'd never heard of them before but have had a look at the website and they look pretty good and theres a variety of different things so thank you Savvy Sue!

Thanks to everyone for all your help!

    Lyndsey
