does exit fee still apply if you are just switching tarrif but not provider (i.e SOL17 to SOL20)?
Would I still get the £100 discount at the end of the 12 months, even though I have changed tarriff part way through the 12 months?
Can I still get cashback via comparison sites if I am just changing tariff but staying with same provider?
I believe a cancelation fee (£40?) would apply to the above example (SOL17 to 20), you would still get your £100 whenever it was due though and yes you would get cashback from the comparison sites, not sure if you can get cashback from the likes of quidco for a retention switch though as I've never tried..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

Cashback is expressly paid to NEW customers not existing ones who change tariff.0 -
There is a cancellation fee, however NPower's systems are cack, so I'd be interested to know if it is clever enough to charge it.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0

Interesting. I wonder if this is a genuine loophole or you just got lucky? Have to say there is no actual mention of having to be a new customer on energyhelpline relating to their current SP cash back offer.0 -

No loophole, Energyhelpline pay cashback on retention switches, had that confirmed from them before I switched.
There wont be any mention regarding the cashback on SP being for new customers only because existing customers wouldnt be able to switch through Energyhelpline anyway!
Looks like its only Npower that will allow tariff changes now on that site.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!
