Redundant and employer withholding P45 and Payslip

I was made redundant a month ago.

At the time my employer presented me with written confirmation of what my gross payout would be and promised to send my P45 and payslip (relating to my final lump sum payment) in the post. Nothing ever showed up and since then I have been emailing the HR person (the only one), and having selectively responded to particular emails, they are now completely ignoring me.

The money hit my account at the end of the month however my suspicion is that they've underpaid me, but without my payslip it is impossible to tell whether I've just been taxed too much.

I need this insight to know who I should be picking my fight with!

I am also desperate to get hold of this documentation as I need to claim some money back from Student Loans.

Can anyone help with what my best course of action should be? What legal rights (if any) do I have to threaten them with? Or is there another way of me getting hold of this documentation?

Can you go in personally and collect it.

It may be lost in the post but at least you will get some answers if you are face to face.

It is against the law to with hold your P45.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

  • Hi, Is anyone able to help?

I was working for this company for 2 months and and they called us into a meeting and told us they cannot afford to pay us anymore so and sent us home, we have not heard anything from them and we did not get paid at the end of november. They still have hold of our payslips and P45 and would like to know where I stand, with regards to claiming my money back and getting my payslip and P45?

If anyone has any info it would be a great help!

    Thanks
