CHanging my haven holiday so we can take new dog

Just rang up to change holiday I have booked with haven for may 2011 (a monday to friday break during term time), so that we can take our new family member (the dog)
I am booked into deluxe at the moment and have paid it off in full, apparently to take the dog we would be downgrading to a standard caravan and paying £30 to do so, then we would also be paying for linen. :exclamati:( This is a bit daft really isn't it!? I have told them I may call them back but will in all likelyhood ask someone else to have dog for me.
What do other mse'rs think? Would you pay £30plus (forgot to ask how much linen would be) for a worse caravan? To put it in context the holiday cost around £110 (I booked it extremely early so got it half price). I would like to take the dog but part of me - the tight part :rotfl:is thinking twice now!

Have you paid it off yet?
I am not sure I'd like it, there arte loads of places that you can take dogs with you, what about going elsewhere and forfeiting the deposit?
Its not like you take take the dog to the nightlife and stuff like that, it'll have to stay in a strange van and might bark like crazy. Might be fairer to leave it with family or in kennels - they are not all bad.0
