Well done to everyone so far :T

I used to do that Skaps and it's really annoying, isn't it? What I do now is earmark what I want to pay towards debts and put it in a separate account until the day before payday - that way if we have any nasty surprises I can always dip into it, but being out of the current it doesn't feel like 'free' money I can just fritter away. Works for me, anyway.

  • Last month I got too carried away with paying off debt that I it was a bit stressful waiting till payday.

I constantly do that, I ALWAYS underestimate how much I spend in a month despite budgeting to the extreme. But then every month I make it to payday without starving to death, even if I have to turn down a few nights out etc, so I figure that money is better off on the debt than being frittered away to make my life more "comfy". I just try to imagine having all that repayment money to myself when I'm debt free!
