£150.31 regular loan payment out, unfortunately can't call Tesco's just yet as half of my salary is stuck somewhere between my boss and my account:(.

well done to everyone who contributed to July's total

How many people took part last month Jwil???

49 people - which seems to be about where we are monthly now.

Collectively those who updated paid about £50 -£100 less last month than usual, it was an average of £750 ish, whereas normally it's £800+. I think that's down to holidays as much as anything else.

I agree that this month will probably be quiet too, and then we'll probably be back to it next month.

Hello, I am a newbie but would like to join this challenge!

I have just graduated and I have a £1000 credit card that I would like to get rid of by the end of the year so if you could put me down for £1000 that would be great!

Welcome judpudding, you are very welcome to join us! To clear a credit card by the end of the year would be incredibly satisfying!

Good luck with the debtbusting and keep posting and feel free to join in with the chat! :)

It's awesome to keep a track of it here. I know now I have the following to do before deals run out:

Card 3 of £500 Paid off by End of October
Card 4 of £1645 Paid off by End of January
Card 5 of £2472 Paid off by End of April 2012

Tough tasks, but in line with me wanting to start saving come this time next summer to pay off the £19k on my car.

You've done really well Laze, and it's good that you've got specific targets to aim for.

    Hi All,

My first payment for August is £100 OP to Next. Making my running total £1892.57/£6000.
I now have a balance of £546 and some pennies left to pay on this and the CLOSE the account.

Some people may remember I was going to do this a while ago but a holiday which was booked and paid for happened and I decided not to pay off Next but keep the money saved 'just in case'.
Well the holiday was much more expensive than I thought it was going to be and that money got used.
But rather that than increase the debt.

So hopefully I will be paying off this month instead.

An extra note - I have been MSE for nearly a year now.
I have managed to get rid of two (nearly three) creditors so far but most of the debt has gone due to this thread :)

Thank you all especially jwil :)

It's great that you didn't add to your debt when away so it was worthwhile leaving Next for that extra month.

It's thanks to everyone who takes part for this thread, it would be as boring as anything if it was just me rattling around here :rotfl: It's certainly kept me more motivated than I would have been, and it's so lovely everytime someone clears a card or reaches target

Apologies for the huge number of posts from me, oops!

I've paid £45.96 today, of which a huge £3 is towards this challenge. Oh well, it all counts!

  • Well done to everyone for making payments in July :money: and welcome to all the newbies.:)

We have all managed to still clear a lot and we are getting a step further to being debt free:T

I made a smaller payment last month as I wanted to have a month off and enjoy sometime with the kids. I didn't want to worry about paying for anything. Manged to find lots of things to do for free or very cheap so ended up making a small payment.

I have now had a boost after reading everyones posts so I have made another overpayment of £144 to my savings account and my dd for debt repayments of £125 have come out.

    New total for me is

    47. newlifeahead - £5828.19 /£6,000
    Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)
    Lloyds CC - £3102.54 / £3071.51
    B'Card - £7615.65 / £7444.30
    Bank of mom - £6000 / £6000
    28/02/17 £ 19,540.17 / £16515.81 05/04/17
