I'm taking the kids to Blackpool for a week, I got it through the sun and for a week in Blackpool it's only cost me £104 which I think is a bargain, i've made the sealed tin our spending money. I haven't been on holiday since my honeymoon in 2001 with ex-hubby, my kids are 9 and 5 this summer and I want to take them on holiday as a reward for not asking me constantly for things as they know i'm trying to be careful with money plus i've taken on 8 extra shifts this month so next month I will be able to keep on paying the overpayments i've been paying rather than paying the minimum that i intended to pay in July because of our wee caravan holiday and birthdays.
My car DD came out today so thats another £125 added to my total taking me to £4061.94 / £7000 :j
I've passsed the £4k mark now woo hoo lol
Well done on getting past £4k! :T
The holiday sounds like a bargain, and I'm sure the children will love it!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

I went to blackpool as a kid and I LOVED it. In fact I famously told my dad that "this is better than Eurodisney!" lol. Although to be fair I still don't like Disneyland Paris! I'm sure the kids will have a blast abba and what a fab reward for their restraint! Take them to the circus at Blackpool Tower, it was fab when we went, and they had a massive indoor adventure playpark too. The water park (sandcastles I think it was called) was amazing too.

Yeah we're planning to go to the circus and the play area in the tower as from there website it shows you can either pay for all three things, circus the playarea and the ballroom or you can pay seperately for them so it works out at £20 something to get in the circus and the playarea (i don't pay for play area) the only bummer is the top of the tower isn't open til sept as they are upgrading it so promised the kids we will go back down in sept to see the lights and the top of the tower
we are also going to the water park as well so we can't wait got loads planned whilst we are down there xNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -
I'm still here, next couple of months are hard on debt busting as I still have MOT, Car Tax, and a couple of major birthdays to fork out for. Still on the wagon though0

Hi ya, Just remember that even though I was being made redundant I was still making payments to my debts so should have been still showing here even though i was not making over payments, finished work Friday need to wait 28 days for my redundancy money may make an over payment then or when I get a new job.
so for Apr/May/June I have paid £868.71
£7048.58/£15,492.37 = £8,446.69 outstanding
Need to start clearing the clutter now and selling stuff on ebay0
