Jwil, are you going to update our process regularly on first page? So we see how everybody is doing? Or we just let you know at the end of next year?

I'd love to join in too please. I'd like to go for a target of £8000. Thank you and look forward to all the tips that we can share.

Gonna be a tough month of Jan but very much up for it :j
  • Just had a thought (dangerous!). Are we including monthly payments towards loans in this - or is it anything over and above minimum payments? Because if it includes loans, then I think I should up my target

So glad to have found this thread! I have done the £20k challenges the past two years, though never aimed for 20, always 10. First year I managed 7, this year it was a lot lower as we went on a nice holiday to celebrate our 40th birthdays and also had to buy a new car. So we only managed £3767. But am so determined to go for it in 2011 - we need to as I want to clear our debts before we have another baby. So please put me down for £10k and this time we'll definitely do it!

I am including my monthly payments-every penny you pay towards your debts count!

Hmm, I've been pondering over this. My first thought would be to do an update at the end of the year, but I'd like to see how we are all doing :). I don't think I can keep up with every payment though as people get paid at different times and payments come out at different times.

Ok, what I am going to suggest is: if you want me to update your total in the first post, post it in either of the two formats:

    £548 paid off so far
    or
    £548/£5000 paid.

I don't mind what colours by the way :rotfl:, but if you were able to make it bigger or in colour then that would be great. (Click on 'go advanced' for those who are not sure how to do it). If it's like that I can clearly see it is a total and will add it to the first page.

    Does that seem ok?
