You can buy double ended suspender things to attach to the corners saw them in betterware I think. Not sure on price but they do work.

We used these on our DD's bed when she was little. They were really good and we bought them from betterware.

  • I had to stop using fitted sheets as always had this problem as I move around lots in the night. Not been a prob since started with flat sheets.
I use a cotton mattress cover too, which helps I think.

I have this problem too. Both of my boys got new beds last year. They have very deep mattresses. I have mattress covers on them. I got ones with stretchy sides. They were quite expensive. I bought fitted stretch jersey sheets as the normal cotton fitted sheets weren't deep enough for the mattresses.

One son is fine. His stuff stays on. With my other son, everything comes off, including the mattress cover. Both of them have exactly the same bedding. I make sure I pull the corners down properly but every morning without fail, his sheets are off.

Thanks Glenda for the suspender suggestion.

Lol I love this site so Random. But i get the same problem in my bed. I have a double and i think the sheets/throws....are just standard size too, I think the king size option tucked right in might do the trick. But my g/f had a double with standard double sheets and it never budged! Would have lovely sleep when i slept there! Its so uncomfortable waking up when its come loose! Atm Im just sleepng on bare mattress with duvet cover.

Just found them on the Betterware site. £2.99 for a pack of 4. Or an offer of 2 packs for £3.98. Thanks again.

Had a lot of problems with DS1, whose fitted sheets would always ride up, but he could never be a^^^^d to tuck them in again. To stop him from ruining his mattress, I got an old king size duvet cover and slipped it over the entire mattress, like a big sleeping bag. Not only does he never sleep on bare mattress now, his fitted sheet seems less prone to riding up.

Oxendales do an interesting range of bed covers, including extra-deep sheets and a zip-round mattress cover that you can put the mattress into as described above http://oxendalesuk.drct2u.com/productcache/OXO/BO3057/RK086TQ.html.gz. Useful if the ticking's been stained or damaged, but the mattress is still good.
