Final Value Fees - HELP!!!

Hi,

I am in the process of designing a spreadsheet for myself to use regarding costs etc on ebay.

i was looking at the final value fee on ebay and cant understand how it works!!!

If my item sells at more than £30.00 then the following applies

"5.25% of the initial £29.99 (£1.57), plus 3.25% of the remaining closing value balance"

I do not understand this!, Lets say my item ends at £35.00 how much final value will i pay?

I think you should end up paying £1.73
£30-£35 @3.25%=0.16p plus £1.57
